Broadband plans are "NoCaps-NoThrottle" services. You are connected to our shared commercial grade network segment and your traffic contends fairly with other similar LANs to access Internet data. Your ability to transport your data payload over time varies depending on the actions of these similar users. This is termed 'Data Contention'. The Business Express network has a lower contention ratio that our Community Express residential network.
Typical business users access the internet in "bursts" as users access web pages, send or receive email or perform actions like PC updates. These actions do not require sustained Interent data throughput but rather require high speeds on demand for short bursts. For this reason general business users can connect very satisfactorily via our medium contention network and have high burst speed but low monthly pricing.
The Business Express network segment is ideal for general purpose commercial office access. Speeds are high, flat rate SHDSL is available, network traffic isn't blocked by home users and there are "NoCaps-NoThrottles"!!
